In 2022, the Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration (FMCSA) rolled out a permanent national law for Entry Level Driver Training (ELDT) that mandates all new potential commercial drivers attend a properly licensed and approved CDL training school. That means classroom instruction, hands-on training behind the wheel and testing for licensing – you’ve got to do this in person, and do all parts of it. We’ve offered these services above and beyond all standards for over 25 years. We provide everything in-house as a one-stop shop with no waitlists.

Can’t I just train online, or with my friend/coworker? This one back-alley guy with a truck promised me to get my CDL in two days? Why isn’t this like getting your basic driver’s license? – Click here to read more
Be careful of empty promises of shortcuts or loopholes. Government regulations mandate you get certified training which includes in person (not online) components, and that schools be approved and audited regularly. However, like many industries, there are still bad apples in the way of partial or unapproved entities, or worse yet, approved ones that break all the rules for a while until caught. With such high demand for drivers, many unlicensed trainers, quota-driven corporate chain schools, and questionable new companies are out there trying to cash in. If you check into it, you may just be getting their “word” instead of 3rd party approvals and certifications and verified experience. Over the long years, AAA has seen scores of people retroactively lose their CDLs from when bad trainers get shut down! AAA has been here for decades as a second-generation, family-owned business. We have a steady and proven track record of certified, approved, safe and dedicated training and job placement!
